The Challenge

Located in Union County, New Jersey,  Kean University is a world-class, vibrant, and diverse university offering more than 52 undergraduate and 35 graduate programs, with over 85 options for graduate study including doctoral programs in psychology and education leadership. They requested JL Media’s services to redesign their media investment with a more student-focused approach to increase undergraduate registration.

Our Media Strategy

  • Generate more awareness and consideration for Kean University in order to increase open house attendance and applications.
  • A radical overhaul was needed to reach students. JL Media cut all print newspaper spending and re-allocated across Social and Programmatic platforms to reach students in the environments they’re most frequently found in.
  • Overlay of programmatic Display tactics: heavy retargeting initiative, behavioral and contextual targeting as well.
  • Working with Kean University’s web management team, JL Media implemented a multifaceted tracking program for measuring and reporting ROI.

Our Results

JL Media was able to optimize to meaningful ROIs, demonstrate success and in partnership with Kean Marketing and Admissions, demonstrated that Digital Media increased undergraduate open house attendance by over 200% YoY.
